Well last week by baby boy turned 4. How on earth did that happen...? Seriously, I can remember meeting him for the first time like it was yesterday. After 17 hours of induced labour, then an emergency c/section due to him being posterior, brow presentation and a whopping 4240grams (9lb 5oz) it was very welcome meeting indeed!
In 4 years we have welcomed 3 children, moved house 4 times, hubby has had 3 jobs, seen friends and family off to and back from overseas, congratulated a number of family and friends on the arrival of their babies, witnessed engagements and marriages, cried and laughed at the mysterious ways of the world, celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary, celebrated grandparents on each side of the family reaching their 50th anniversaries and just today congratulated my in-laws on their 30th anniversary. The past 4 years since becoming a mother has been the most enjoyable time of my life, and I am a different (and I would hope better!) person because of it.
J was, in the nicest possible way, a bit of a 'freak' of a baby! He fed great, he slept great, he moved super early (crawled at 6 months and walked at 8 months) and was hardly ever grumbly. He is now a super little boy, very athletically minded, compassionate and has super manners.
He loves his little brother and baby sister enormously, and you can see when they look into his eyes they feel exactly the same.
He truly is one of the lights of my life. Happy birthday darling.
